Works of emerging ceramic artists Chia Hsuan Kuo and Pin Hsin Chu.

Two emerging ceramic artists from Taiwan, Chia Hsuan Kuo and Pin Hsin Chu, will hold an outdoor art exhibition in Flushing, Queens on the 19th (Wednesday). The event is free and open to anyone interested.

The curator and organizer of this exhibition, Xinya Li, explained that this is the third installment of the "Museum without Doors" series. The concept behind this series, initially introduced by artist Lin Shi-Bao in 2020, aims to bring art out of traditional galleries and museum spaces and into the everyday lives of the public, bridging the gap between the general public and art, enriching the local art and culture of Flushing.

The works of the two emerging ceramic artists, Kuo Jia-Hsuan and Chu Pin-Hsin, will be featured in this event, which will take place at the Flushing Greenmarket. Kuo Jia-Hsuan's exhibit is themed "Sleeping Wanderers and Their Dreams," while Chu Pin-Hsin will present whimsical sculpture pieces with the theme of "Happy and Imaginative Children."

Chia Hsuan Kuo, who studied ceramics professionally in Taiwan, later specialized in sculpture at the New York Art Students League. His work has previously won the "19th Tokyo-New York Ceramic Competition First Prize." Pin Hsin Chu graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan and pursued sculpture studies at the New York Art Students League. Her work focuses on the themes of human nature and childlike innocence and has been invited to exhibit at events such as the World Orchid Exposition organized by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York and the Queens Botanical Garden.

The exhibition will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the 19th within the Flushing Greenmarket, located at Bowne Playground and in front of Public School 20, at the intersection of Union Street and Bowne Street along Sanford Avenue in Flushing.
